How can I best control my asthma WITHOUT Medicine?

So I am right about to join the National Guard. I still need to do the paperwork though. I know that they have to run a lot. I have Exercise induced asthma. How can I best control my asthma? Breathing Tips? Diet Change? Run with shorter breathes? Please Help.
I have not had a bad problem before. Just wheezing. I currently Take Tai Chi, and it seems to be helping. So Tips?

Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease that affect the lungs and bronchial tubes (the body’s airways).
The first and most important steps to protecting yourself from asthma and keeping your lungs in good shape is steering clear of potential lung irritants.
What triggers your asthma? Indoor pollutants. Seasonl allergen exposure or air pollution? Knowing what triggers your asthma may help to prevent future attacks.
Food allergies can also set off an asthma alarm, pay attention t o your body so that you know when you are getting reaction to a certain food, then you can eliminate it from your diet.(among foods that likely to cause problem are chocolates, nuts and eggs)
Exposure to cigarette smoke can worsen asthma.
Take daily supplements of vitamins E and C to prevent some breathing difficulties. Both vitamins are anti oxidants. and the combination of anti-oxidant vitamins can benefit people with asthma who are sensitive to air pollutants. Fruits and vegetables that are high in vit C include oranges, kiwi, grapefruits and broccoli. Food sources highest in vit E are nuts, and vegetable oil, including soybean oil, corn oil and wheat germ oil. Before using vitamin E and C supplements discuss it with your doctor first.
I have also asthma before and eliminating the triggers , prevent asthma attacks. I haven’t experience asthma attacks for five years now. Proper ventilazation and minimizing my exposure to sources that cause asthma attacks is my best prevention. Hope this will help.

  • Dust mite allergy symptoms are caused by tiny organisms called dust mites House mite allergy is a reaction of the body to the proteins that are secreted by the house mites in their excretion processes. The protein acts on the respiratory system of a person and it aggravates the air passages causing hay fever and asthmatic related attacks. Dust mites are so gross. Have you tried any of these symptoms?
